Tabou Connection Incorporated is a nonprofit international organization headquartered in Buffalo, New York. It was founded by former Liberian refugees, aid workers, and students who once resided in Tabou, Ivory Coast, during the Liberian Civil War.
The organization was established in November 2012 in Austin, Texas, when former residents of Tabou living in that part of the USA decided to come together to celebrate and support one another during weddings, graduations, and other social events. Members gather annually in a state chosen through a vote by those present at the convention.
Since its inception, the goals of the organization have remained consistent, though they have evolved with a focus on improving the lives of members and underprivileged communities through developmental projects in education, health, and agriculture.
